The entries with the most votes will help form a shortlist to go before the competition judges for a final decision this week.
The winning entry will be featured on our special Christmas card for 2009 and the lucky winner will scoop a prize worth £50 with goodies worth £100 for their school.
The competition is run by the Somerset County Gazette, Bridgwater Mercury, Chard and Ilminster News, Burnham and Highbridge Weekly News, Yeovil Express and Mid Devon Star.
