HARD-HITTING environmental film The Age of Stupid will be screened at the Brewhouse theatre in Taunton tonight.

The drama-documentary stars Pete Postlethwaite as a man living alone in the devastated future world of 2055, looking at old footage from 2008 to understand why humankind failed to address climate change.

Shot in seven countries over a period of three years, the film features six separate documentary stories, archive footage and lots of animation from, among others, Passion Pictures, creators of the Gorillaz animations.

The screening, which starts at 6pm, has been organised as part of a collaboration between the Brewhouse and the Taunton Transition Town community group.

Tickets are priced at £5, with all funds going towards the theatre’s 1010 project, which aims to cut 10% of carbon emissions in 2010.
