THORNCOMBE youngsters are jumping for joy after being presented with a check for over £400 from a parent who went the distance for the playgroup.
Emma Stantiford raised the money for Thorncombe Jumping Beans Playgroup by entering the Forde Abbey 10km cross-country run and despite being a novice managed a time of 71 minutes.
The playgroup is grant funded and welcomes children from the age of two. It is open from Tuesday to Friday, from 8.45am to noon, including a weekly toddler parent session on Fridays from 10am.
