AUTHOR Annie Porthouse will be introducing the first book club event at a Chard pub next week.

Annie, who has written two novels ‘Dear Bob’ and ‘Love Jude’, will be launching Wetherspoons’ book club next week.

Dear Bob is written in the manner of a diary, from a young Christian woman starting university to her as yet unknown husband.

Annie said: “The idea is that those who attend take the book home to read, then return in a month’s time to discuss it.”

At the first event Annie will also be talking about writing and reading books while she hands out her novel.

The Wetherspoons book club will begin on Wednesday, October 14, at 6.30pm.
