THE M5 at Bridgwater has been re-opened following an accident earlier today.
The motorway was closed in both directions between Junction 23 (Bridgwater North) and Junction 24 (Bridgwater South) from about 11.30am.
A car and a motorbike are believed to have been involved in a collision on the southbound carriageway.
A number of casualties have been taken to hospital by road and air ambulance.
Traffic has now returned to normal.
