ALMOST 50 children have come down with the Norovirus bug at Burnham Infants School.
Pupils began showing symptoms of the sickness bug on Tuesday – and the school were forced to send home 22 children home yesterday.
Head teacher Andrew Marsh told the Weekly News that 48 pupils and one staff member were affected.
He said: “The bug spread very quickly through the school and the Health Protection Agency have advised us that it is the Norovirus – and not swine flu.
“We were told we were fine to stay open as long as we gave the school a deep clean, which we did last night.”
