Store backing for SURE

THE County Gazette backed SURE, Somerset Unit for Radiotherapy Equipment, appeal has had a welcome boost this week as it was named the charity of the year for Taunton’s Sainsbury’s town centre store.

The Billet Street store announced SURE as their nominated charity after an overwhelming vote by their customers.

To celebrate the news, volunteers took part in a collection outside the store on Thursday – collecting £313.94 in just a day.

Eric Saffin from SURE said: “We are absolutely delighted by the support we have received form Sainsbury’s and their customers.

“I am sure it will be a very fruitful partnership.”
