THE two-day Newt Beer Festival gets underway in North Newton today, with thousands of revellers expected to turn up.

As well as great beer, there is also plenty of live music from more than a dozen bands.

Visitors can camp overnight, while there is also Somerset cider, wine, bottled lagers and soft drinks on offer.

Profits from the event will go to North Newton Community Primary School.
