Supermarket staff are tidy bunch

SUPERMARKET staff in Ilminster got together last weekend to help tidy up the town with a litter pick-up in conjunction with Keep Britain Tidy.

Employees of the Tesco store in Ilminster followed up on their efforts last year and were kept busy, especially at the recreation ground where the fair had been the previous evening.

Community champion Karen Davies said: “We carried out a litter pick last year and were surprised by the amount of litter.

“We decided to do another one and managed to gather seven full bags in about an hour!

“Thank you to all the public who gave us such lovely comments.”
