MORE talented dogs and their owners went to Yeovil Country Park than ever before to take part in South Somerset District Council’s third annual Fun Dog Show.
More than 140 dogs ranging from Jack Russell terriers to Great Danes were entered into the show’s classes – twice the number of entrants that took part in the first show. They were watched by about 500 spectators.
The show, run by the district council’s Countryside and Enforcement teams and sponsored by James Wellbeloved and Royal Canin, raised £410 for the RSPCA through entries, stallholders, donations and the RSPCA tombola.
Among the visitors were the chairman of South Somerset District Council, Cllr Ian Martin, and former Blue Peter TV show presenter Valerie Singleton.
