Applebees Health, a Taunton-based fitness business, has launched an eight-week Postnatal Fitness Course designed for new mothers.
The French Weir Park-based business launched the programme which prioritises core strengthening, pelvic floor recovery, and overall fitness.
It is led by experienced trainers, offering exercises tailored for postnatal rehabilitation.
The effectiveness of the course has warranted recommendations from midwives and healthcare professionals.
Babies and children are welcomed at the sessions, addressing a main barrier of postnatal recovery for many — childcare.
New mums can continue their fitness journey after the postnatal period by attending the business’ child-friendly 'Workout & Play' sessions.
Ben Appleby, founder of Applebees Health said: "Applebees Health is committed to improving new mums' overall well-being so our sessions are more than just a fitness course, but a social experience too.
"We encourage our clients to relax in the Weir Café after each session as this is their time to connect, unwind and build friendships."
One new mum, Sophie, revealed how the classes had helped her.
She said: "Their postnatal classes are brilliant and have improved my fitness massively.
"They are a family-run business so bringing babies along is never a problem."
The new block sessions of the course are set to start in March, running on Wednesday and Friday mornings.
