AUDIENCES at Taunton's Brewhouse Theatre are in for a spring to remember with a line-up of over 100 events.

The venue promises an unforgettable assortment of comedy, music, drama, film, and family favourites.

The events are scheduled to run between January to April this year.

Comedy lovers will be treated to a series of rib-tickling performances.

Notably, Live at the Apollo star Adam Rowe will be kicking off the comedy season with an uproarious stand-up act.

The stage will also welcome Scottish comic Janey Godley, Trigger Happy TV’s Dom Joly and national treasure Rosie Jones, promising audiences a range of hilarious shows.

Fans of drama can look forward to a range of unmissable performances.

Acclaimed actors Colin Baker of Doctor Who fame, and Terry Molloy from The Archers will be portraying the legendary detectives, Holmes and Watson in an exciting adaptation of the Hound of the Baskervilles.

Neil Brand will grace the Brewhouse with a play about the iconic comedy duo Laurel & Hardy.

The Brewhouse remains a strong supporter of emerging talent and will feature works by new artists including playwrights Luca Saunders and Philip Robinson, as well as actress Mia Borthwick.

Family audiences have many reasons to cheer, with the staging of Framed!, a thrilling whodunnit featuring original music and enchanting puppetry.

Hits like Dinosaur Adventure Live and Ministry of Science are also making a comeback, offering an exciting concoction of entertainment for younger audiences.

For music enthusiasts, the Brewhouse will host a wide spectrum of performances ranging from tribute bands such as Purple Zeppelin, The History of Rock, and Back to Bacharach.

It will also show popular folk acts like Show of Hands and singer-songwriters Mark Harrison and Charles Benfield.

R&B legends The Drifters are also scheduled to play.

The theatre’s executive director, Vickie Hobbs said: "After such a successful run of A Christmas Carol, with record breaking audience numbers, we can’t wait to launch into 2024.

"With top comedians, amazing music, and lots of family shows to look forward to, it’s going to be a spectacular start to the year."

She added: "Don’t forget that our Theatre Café is also open weekdays from 10am – 3pm for hot drinks and freshly made lunches.

The new season also promises a series of weekly classes and workshops, including a Youth Choir and Youth Theatre.
