PUPILS from Edington and Shapwick School are preparing to make a small mark in publishing history by securing a place in the Guinness Book of Records.
On Friday, March 7, at 9.15am, pupils will join together with many other schools across Britain in reading a verse from Peter Pan In Scarlet, a new sequel to JM Barrie's original classic tale.
In conjunction with the bid, they will be raising money for a new renal unit at the Great Ormond Street Hospital.
Ian Liddell-Grainer MP is expected to be present by offering encouragement and overseeing proceedings.
Head of English Anne Baker said: "The thought of doing something that helps sick children far away is an idea that appealed to both children and their parents."
