KRISTINA Grimes, star and people's favourite of BBC TV's The Apprentice, will be among the key speakers at the launch of a new training and development facility in Taunton tomorrow (Friday).

The Somerset Centre for Enterprise centre is based at Somerset College, Taunton.

The day will feature a business breakfast, speeches, activities and tasters from 7.30am and guests attending the launch will be entitled to a £50 skills training discount.

Taunton MP Jeremy Browne, Somerset College's new Principal, Rachel Davies, and head of business development, Paul Robottom, will also be speaking at the event, which is targeted at Somerset's business community.

The Somerset Centre for Enterprise boasts training solutions for business, state-of-the-art conferencing facilities and The Hot House, a scheme aimed at helping creative business start-ups.

The conference facilities at the award winning Genesis Project, the sustainable construction resource and learning centre for the South-West, are also housed within the centre.

Mrs Davies said: "The new training solutions are a natural enhancement of the services that Somerset College has been offering businesses in the Taunton area for many years and are designed to meet specific skills needs."
