YEOVIL MP David Laws writes in his weekly column: "This Friday is my birthday, but I have long given up counting the years!
I will be back in our area and it will be my last Friday before my programme of Christmas visits begins.
In the morning I will be calling in on Chard School, and meeting the top class in the school, to talk to them about my work as MP - and to answer their questions.
Later in the morning, I will be at Wadham School in Crewkerne, for the opening of their new Arts Centre.
I shall then be meeting up with officials from the South West Regional Development Agency, to talk about economic development across South Somerset - including in Chard and Yeovil.
In the afternoon, I will be holding a roving advice centre in Yeovil - in the Monksdale/Abbey Road area, and then I hope to meet the local Chief Superintendent, Nikki Watson, to talk about local crime and policing issues.
In the evening, I will be holding an advice centre in Yeovil - with another on Saturday.
Until recently, the year still seemed as if it had a good distance to run - but Christmas now seems to be racing towards us!
My next advice centres are in Yeovil (Friday, November 30, and Saturday, December 1), Chard (Saturday, December 8), Ilminster and Crewkerne (Saturday, December 15).
