POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a crash that has left three people with potentially life changing injuries.
The collision involving a Chevrolet Matiz and a Rover 111 occurred on the A37 at Long Hill, near Shepton Mallet, shortly after 11am yesterday (Wednesday, June 19).
The Matiz was travelling southbound and the Rover northbound.
An Avon and Somerset Police spokesman said: "The Matiz is reported to have crossed the centre of the road and was in a head-on collision with the Rover.
"The woman driver of the Rover and two men who were in the Matiz all suffered potential life changing injuries and remain in hospital.
"We’re keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident who may have information to help our enquiries. If you can help, please contact us, quoting reference 5219137452."
