Albion prospect Alexis Mac Allister has said goodbye, for now, to Argentinos Juniors.
The £8 million attacking midfielder has taken to social media to confirm he will not be re-signing for his boyhood club as reports continue in his homeland of a loan move to Boca Juniors.
Mac Allister, 20, came through the youth set-up at Argentinos.
He was loaned straight back to them after Albion bought him in the January transfer window.
Mac Allister wrote on Instagram: "To all the fans, partners, colleagues and leaders of Argentinos Juniors. Today I have to finish this first stage in the club that formed me, and I want to thank all of them for the support and affection they gave me.
"Yes, I said the first stage because I am sure that someday I will return, along with my brothers, to continue enjoying this great club that saw us born."
Mac Allister will reportedly join Boca on loan for a year, although a well-placed source has told The Argus no firm decision has been made yet on his future.
Older brother Kevin has already moved from Argentinos to Boca, whose past and present stars include Diego Maradona, Gabriel Batistuta and Carlos Tevez.
Oldest brother Francis also plays for Argentinos.
Mac Allister will remain abroad while Albion go through the process of securing an EU passport.
