THE Lightning Seeds and founder member of Squeeze - Chris Difford - will join Madness at their summer concert in Taunton.

Ska legends Madness will kick start a weekend of live music in Taunton with their outdoor show at Vivary Park on July 12.

Now, they have announced they will be joined by the Lightning Seeds, fronted by Ian Broudie and famed for hits including Change, Lucky You, Marvellous and Perfect.

Despite previous success, the band achieved fame when single Three Lions, a collaboration with David Baddiel and Frank Skinner, reached number one in 1996, then again in 1998 and more recently, in 2018.

Broudie, who is currently writing new music for Lightning Seeds, said: “Performing outdoors always gives the show a brilliant atmosphere, so we can’t wait to get to Vivary Park in July, and open for the legendary Madness.”

Also performing is the Grammy nominated and two-time Ivor Novello award-winning lyricist, Chris Difford.

The show is part of concert promoter LCC Live's ‘Live in Somerset’ series of shows.
