VISITORS turned up in their droves to Brean Leisure Park on Sunday (October 14) for the appearance of one well-known television star.
Bart Simpson arrived at the resort following in the footsteps of other famous cartoon characters such as Scooby Doo, The Tweenies and Shaun the Sheep - who have all been in town over the summer.
The yellow rebel, who spends most of his time causing manic and mayhem in his hometown of Springfield, jetted in to Brean to have his photo taken with youngsters, and to sign autographs.
Weekly News photographer Mike Lang was on hand to capture Bart in the act, and follow him around the park as he took part in some of the fun games on offer.
Children came from far and wide for the chance to meet their favourite Simpsons star, including Fern and Rebecca who travelled all the way from Long Stratton in Norfolk, and Lily whose love for Bart took her from Stourport.
The event was the last character visit to Brean Leisure Park for the summer period, but look out for more upcoming picture specials in the Burnham and Highbridge Weekly News.
*Don't miss tomorrow's Weekly News (Wednesday) for more pictures from the visit.
