A TEENAGE boy claims his drink was spiked while he enjoyed a night out at a town centre nightclub.

Luke Price, 18, said something was put into this drink while he was at MooMoo Clubrooms, Warrior Square, Southend.

Echo:

His angry mum, Lyndsey O’Neill, 41, said she’s never seen anything like it before.

She said: “When I got the call, as he was in Southend, I feared that he had been stabbed.

“Obviously this isn’t better but isn’t life threatening.

“I just freaked out when we got the call about what had happened.

“He had been to Room 24 and then got a kebab and went to MooMoo Clubrooms.

“He had two drinks and was on his third and told a friend it didn’t taste right.

“He said his tongue felt funny and then he just started shaking all over.

“His friends said it was like he’d been possessed or something.

“He said he couldn’t feel his fingers or feet.

“He was taken to a medical room at the club and they gave him oxygen.”

The concerned mother said he was hyperventilating due to shock.

Paramedics rushed to the club in Southend and the teen was taken to Southend Hospital.

Ms O’Neill said a promotion girl from the club accompanied the teen to hospital and explained what happened.

The mum added: “They took blood tests, tested his blood sugar levels and he was in hospital all night.

“He said he was very careful and kept an eye on his drink the whole time.

“He is back at work now and doing okay but he is very wary. He doesn’t want to go back to the club again.
