RACIST yobs scrawled vile graffiti on a house after the owner put it up for sale.

A demand for “no ****” was daubed on the property to the disgust of the owner.

Theresa Holloway, of Saffory Close, Eastwood, woke on Easter Sunday to find the offensive slur on her property.

She said: “It was really awful.

“My house is currently on the market.

“On Good Friday my agent brought a lovely family to view the property.”

She explained the children were then playing out the front and fears this may have prompted the incident.

She said: “On Saturday evening, the house was empty whilst I was at the Easter vigil at my church.

“When I returned it was dark so I didn’t see anything.

“The following morning, Easter Sunday, I discovered the disgusting racial message painted on the wall of my house in grey paint.

“I was shocked and disgusted at what I saw.

“I felt threatened as it’s likely that someone near to me did this.

“I think this is because my house is tucked away in the corner of a quiet cul-de-sac.

“I reported the crime and provided evidence to the police and they are investigating.

“I also shared images of the racist graffiti on Facebook.”

The angry home owner said a number of residents have been very supportive, sending nice messages online.

She said it’s pleasing to see such a great community reaction to a horrible crime.

She added: “The support has been amazing demonstrating the great Eastwood community spirit.

“We’ve even had some people making offers of paint and help and so many people stating their disgust at what happened.

“The offensive threat has since been painted over. I will be letting the estate agent know about what has happened as I am concerned about the family that viewed as they may be totally unaware - and doubt it was a coincidence.”

An Essex Police spokesman said: “Officers are investigating a hate crime after racist graffiti had been painted on a house.”
