An animal farm let loose their fuzziest alpacas and cutest pygmy goats to help people with learning disabilities.
Bushey Festival worked with Pages Farm in Elstree this month by organising a special animal experiential event.
A group of adults from St Albans district who have learning disabilities met a range of animals such as pygmy goats, micro pigs, rabbits, alpacas, Shetland ponies and guinea pigs.
Group organiser Salpi Gulbekian said: “Members of the club come from a range of backgrounds and just need some additional support.
“They might live at home or in residential accommodation but they’re all like my extended family.”
The event was part of the St Albans ‘Passport to Leisure’ scheme, which aims to integrate adults with learning difficulties into the community through activities and events.
Mr Gulbekian added: “We really enjoyed the occasion. It was absolutely amazing especially the alpacas which were the cream on the cake.”
