Ethics at play
PAULINA'S human rights have been abused to the highest degree now she believes she has one of her torturers in her grasp.
What will she do?
This is the premise for the play Death and the Maiden by human rights activist Ariel Dorfman, which is coming to Minehead's Regal Theatre on Thursday, May 9 at 7.30pm.
The play challenges the audience to judge guilt and innocence as they are confronted with a tragedy with no clear solution.
Will Paula have her own certain justice or let her torturer go as her husband is begging because he believes she is mistaken and mentally imbalanced?
The play is recommended for ages 16 or over as the drama covers mature themes as well as graphic and offensive language.
Tickets cost £12, £6 for concessions, and can be purchased from the Regal Theatre box office or by visiting regaltheatre.co.uk.
