A WINE shop and wine bar are opening in the same premises, off Taunton town centre.
Philippe Messy hopes to open The Little Wine Shop along with the Social Wine Bar in Foundry Road, off St James Street.
The premises was until recently home to Shakspeare Glass, which is now solely based in Langport.
He has pencilled in May 5 as the opening day, depending on winning permission for a licence from the council.
He currently runs the Little Wine Shop in Bath Place, having previously been sited in Middle Street.
M Messy's partner in the venture is Max Palmer, who previously worked at Borough Market.
He will bring on his knowledge on charcuteries, cheeses and front of house service as the two men worked together for Marco Pierre White at his 3* Michelin.
He also opened the Fat Duck for Heston Blumenthal as his restaurant manager.
