ARE you in a band? A solo performer? Do you want to be heard by thousands of people at a gig at Taunton Racecourse?
Well, now’s your chance, as your County Gazette and the Somerset Show launch a special Battle of the Bands competition.
We are looking for six Somerset acts to make up the music line-up at this year’s event, which takes place on Sunday, July 14.
Whatever genre of music you play, from country to classical, pop to punk, we want to hear you - and you could top the bill on the day.
All you’ve got to do to be in with a chance of playing on the day is send us a link or a file so we can have a listen to your music - be it a sound file, video link or a CD - before midnight on Friday, March 8.
We will then unveil a shortlist of acts, with readers able to vote on who they would like to see perform at the event.
County Gazette editor, Paul Jones, said: “As a music fan, I’m delighted we are able to offer acts the chance to play at our Somerset Show.
“We know there is a huge amount of talent out there in Somerset - and we want to hear it.
“Whether you’re a solo artist, a band or an ensemble, don’t miss out on the chance to play for thousands of people at the show - get your entries in now.”
