MORE than 50 people took part in a charity quiz which raised hundreds of a beloved cause.

The quiz night was held by Williton Pet and Equine at Crowcombe Village Hall on Tuesday, December 18.

The event raised £700 for Elliot's Touch, which was formed in 2015 in memory of founders Donna and Paul Stevens' son Elliot. The couple, who are from Watchet, have been working to raise awareness of mitochondrial disease.

They have so far raised more than £120,000 to stop other families going through the same tragedy.

Wendy Berry, owner of Williton Pet and Equine, said: “I would like to thank everyone that came on the evening and all that purchased raffle tickets.

"It was a great fun night and something that we will definitely look to do again.

"Local businesses were very generous with their donations.

"Elliot’s Touch is a fantastic charity that myself and all my staff are proud to support.”

Mrs Stevens said: "We are very grateful to the Williton pet and Equine shop and everyone that came along to help them raise money for Elliot’s Touch."
