TWO dogs are in need of a new home after their previous owner died on Christmas Day.

The pair of staffy cross dogs, named Lola, 7, and Chaos, 5, have been taken into the care of St Giles Animal Rescue Centre, Wrantage, after the sad death of their loving owner.

They are now in need of a new place to call home after years of being well loved and treated.

ADORABLE: One of the dogs in need of a new home

A spokesman for the animal rescue centre said: "We were called on Christmas Day about this sweet pair - who's owner had sadly passed away that morning.

"They were turned away from many places due to the holidays and space, but Christmas Day or not, Vanessa together with the RSPCA South East Branch couldn’t say no.

"So this sweetest pair of staffy cross dogs - a girl Lola and a boy Chaos, are at St Giles Rescue now, due to no fault of their own, and are looking for their forever home.

"Well loved and well treated, they are the perfect duo - can you find a space for them?"

Meanwhile, another animal has been left in need of a home after the sad death of its owner on Boxing Day.

Somerset County Gazette:

CUTE: Minow the cat

Seven-year-old cat Minow has been in the care of the rescue centre previously after her owner became unwell.

The spokesman added: "We have known this sweet and gentle seven-year-old girl for a few years, and took care of her when her original owner was ill.

"Unfortunately that owner regretfully passed away and after a long period in our rescue, she was happily re homed and was thriving.

"We received a call on Boxing Day to let us know that her new owner had sadly passed away that day, and would we be able to save Minow again.

"We are now desperately seeking a forever home for this kind puss, to save her from another winter in rescue."
