WORK to give Taunton centre pavements a facelift is due to start tomorrow (Monday).
The scheme to improve the look of the town's scruffy pedestrian areas begins in Bridge Street.
It will be followed by work to smarten up other area including High Street, Station Road, East Reach and Hammet Street.
The project is being jointly funded by Somerset County and Taunton Deane Borough Councils.
Councillors say it will create a more "welcoming, pleasant environment" and also "benefit our local traders".
