WELL over half the money raised for County Gazette-backed Somerset Unit for Radiotherapy Equipment came from a craft stall.
Crafty Ladies took £461.30 at the event at the Beacon Centre cancer unit at Musgrove Park Hospital, Taunton, which is equipped by SURE.
Other donations last week included £56 from Galmington man Donald Reason's party; and £69.50 from Debenhams from commission due from the Book People.
Collections of 5p coins included an anonymous one of £23.70; £20.10 from the children of Kingston School; £5.80 from Charlotte and Sophie, of the 1st West Coker Brownies; and £78.80 from the staff and customers at the Bunch of Grapes pub, Bridgwater.
The £50 from Peter Edwards, of Highbridge, included £30 in 5ps; and £29.35 of the £57.25 left at the Beacon Centre was also in 5ps.
There was also £10 from Brian and Marilyn Hobbs, in lieu of Golden Wedding presents and left at the Beacon Centre was £5.30 in mixed coins from Lillian Cynthia Henson.
The weekly total of £837.75 means £831,519.82 has been raised for SURE since the charity linked up with the Gazette.
