THE brother of a soldier killed in action is painting a Remembrance mural in a Taunton street.
Sam Gaden is using his artistic skills on a wall in Eastbourne Gate to coincide with the centenary of the Armistice at the end of the First World War.
Sam, of Aerosol Art, is being assisted by Jade Fawcett, of Fawcett Sign and Design.
Sam's brother, Tom, died in Afghanistan, aged 24, in February 2009.
"It seemed like the right time to do it, especially as my family has military connections," said Sam.
"As well as Tom, my brother-in-law, Joe Bishop-Ford has just left the Army.
"The First World War is such a long time ago that I think people forget about it, so at times like this it's important that we remember."
It is the third time he has painted the wall - he first created a mural to discourage people constantly adding graffiti to it.
Sam and Jade hope to complete the mural by Saturday ahead of Sunday's 100 year celebrations of the end of the First World War.
