FOUND: The ring found in Taunton
POLICE are trying to track down the owner of a ring found in Taunton.
The ring was found in Corporation Street in Taunton and handed over to the authorities.
Officers are now trying to track down the owner with hopes of returning the jewellery - although it appears to have been a bit damaged.
A spokesman said: "We’re hoping to reunite the owner with a ring, which has been handed into us.
"It was found in Corporation Street in Taunton.
"It is slightly misshapen, suggesting that it has been trodden on or even run over by a vehicle.
"We believe it might have great sentimental value to someone.
"If it is your ring or you know the owner, we’d like to hear from you.
