SOMERSET is set for a grey day with chances of rain in the morning, afternoon and evening.

In their South West summary, Met Office said: "A rather cloudy start with some patchy mist, mainly in the east of the region, which will slowly clear.

"In the west persistent, locally heavy, rain will arrive for the afternoon, accompanied by strong winds and, possibly, coastal gales."

The maximum temperature is set to be 15C, before falling to a minimum of 11C overnight.

Tomorrow's forecast said: Unsettled with spells of rain or showers. Strong winds in the east will ease by afternoon. Some sunny spells in the west later. Dry with clear spells by the evening."

The temperature is set to peak at around 14C.
