MORE than 200 people attended the 2018 Player’s Dinner held at The Cooper Associates County Ground.

Guests were treated to a champagne reception in the Long Room before they enjoyed a delicious three-course meal, followed by coffee and chocolate truffles.

Ollie Cox, host for the evening, welcomed the cricket players into the dining room where they received a standing ovation. Somerset CEO, Andrew Cornish, opened the proceedings and explained how much he had enjoyed his first season in office.

Charles Clark, Club Chairman, emphasised the uniqueness of the club and gave his thoughts on the last 12 months. In addition to the presentation of the awards, Marcus Trescothick, Tom Abell and Lewis Gregory talked with Ollie Cox. Andy Hurry, Jack Leach and Peter Trego answered questions from the floor towards the end of the evening.
