AFTER wet weather overnight, Somerset is set to return to overcast but dry conditions for most of today.

Some early morning and late afternoon sunshine is also set for the county.

In its South West summary, Met Office said: "Most places should stay dry today with increasing amounts of warm sunshine.

"The odd shower is possible in the afternoon, but they will be very isolated."

The maximum temperature is set to reach around 23C, before falling to a minimum of 14C overnight.

Tomorrow's forecast said: "A cloudier day on Tuesday, but it will stay dry with bright spells, especially in the east. It will feel warm and humid in sunny spells."

The temperature is again set to peak at 23C.
