MORE than 125,000 people have signed a petition calling for Monday to be a Bank Holiday if England win the World Cup.

The petition says that if the Three Lions do end up bringing the trophy home, then the country should be given Monday off work as the next day “Will not be pleasant for all fans.”

If England defeat Croatia on Wednesday night (July 11), they will face either Belgium or France in the final on Sunday.

The petition has easily surpassed the 100,000 signatures needed for it to be considered for debate in the House of Commons.

And opposition leader Jeremy Corbyn is backing calls for a Bank Holiday Monday.
