PUBS, clubs and bars are being visited to ensure gaming machines are being properly used.
Sedgemoor District Council’s Licensing Team has teamed up with the Gambling Commission to begin a programme of visits to premises licensed for the retail sale/supply of alcohol to monitor the use of the machines.
The officers are reminding all licence holders of their responsibility for the safe and lawful use of machines within their businesses.
The visits began in the Brean area on Thursday, June 21 to make licence holders aware of the regulatory requirements including awareness of the Gambling Commission’s code of practice with regards to gaming machines in alcohol licensed premises.
