HUNDREDS of people enjoyed the sunshine and entertainment at Victoria Park Community Centre’s Annual Summer Fair on Sunday (June 10).

The day was a huge success with donkey rides, exotic animals, a wide variety of funfair rides and much more for all the family to enjoy.

The event, which ran from noon to 4pm also had Bridgwater’s own Sedgemoor FM broadcasting live from the event.

This was the sixth annual event and included fairground rides, owl-handling, donkey rides, face-painting, a bouncy castle, ‘mini’-dodgem cars, a double-decker play bus and high-flying trampolines to keep the youngsters thoroughly entertained on the day.

Avon and Somerset Police as well as crew members from Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service were on hand to give demonstrations and answer questions.

Bridgwater town mayor Councillor Diogo Rodrigues and Cllr Mike Cresswell, chairman of Sedgemoor District Council, also attended.

Visitors also got to enjoy a climbing wall, crazy golf and a whole host of refreshments including ice cream and candy floss and ice cream.
