SIXTH form students from The King Alfred School won the top prize for best product at the Somerset County finals of the Young Enterprise Company Programme at Eat: Taunton on Saturday (May 12).
The students company, Calore, was set up in September last year and sells eco-friendly scented candles made from vegan products in recycled jam jars.
A spokesman for The King Alfred School said: “On Saturday the students had sold out of all of their stock at Eat: Taunton.
“Members of the public were particularly taken by the fact that the students had made the candles in the science labs in school.”
