A FARMER suffered burns and a caravan was burnt out in a shed fire in the early hours of this morning (Monday).
Fire crews from Porlock and Minehead attended following reports of a barn fire on the Exford to Wheddon Cross road, in West Somerset, shortly before 3am.
On arrival, firefighters found the caravan burnt out with a small area of a cattle shed affected by the fire.
The crews extinguished the blaze and called for an ambulance for the farmer, who had burns to his head and arms.
They administered first aid until paramedics arrived on the scene.
A fire service spokesman said a quantitity of asbestos sheets was also involved in the incident.
