POLICE are appealing for information after a serious crash on the A303 between Ilminster and South Petherton.
Emergency services were called out at 1.44pm to the crash which happened between Southfields Roundabout and the A356 Prophet's Lane/Crewkerne turn off.
UPDATE: A303 crash victim now in a stable condition
A black BMW and a silver 4x4 collided on the eastbound carriageway and the silver 4x4 collided with a black Mini on the westbound carriageway.
A driver of one of the vehicles was taken to hospital by air ambulance with life-threatening injuries.
The A303 is currently closed between Ilminster and South Petherton following a serious collision.

Drivers are advised to avoid the area as the road is likely to be closed for several hours.
A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Police, said: "We’d like to speak to anyone who might have witnessed the collision or has any information relating to the lead up to it.
"Anyone with information should call 101 and quote log 530 of today (April 24)."
