ROMANIAN orphans were set to have eggs to enjoy at Easter thanks to the efforts of Bridgwater schoolchildren.
Generous pupils at Haygrove School donated a large number of chocolate eggs to the SWEEPS charity, which was soon to depart for the Eastern European country.
Andrea Scott, director of the charity, said: “We have to rely on the kindness and thoughtfulness of people like this all the time.
“You can’t really understand how much joy it will bring to the mums, dads, orphanage survivors, doctors and nurses if you haven’t seen how desperate their situation is.”
