ALL rail services between Taunton and Exeter have been suspended due to flooding, Great Western Rail has announced.
Parts of the railway has flooded and lines will be closed until further notice, travellers have been warned.
Heavy rain has flooded the railway between Taunton and Exeter St Davids therefore all lines are closed until further notice. Replacement road transport is being sourced. Mutual ticket acceptance is in place with Crosscountry trains.

Flood warnings and alerts remain in place across Devon and Somerset following last nights heavy rain.
GWR said in a Tweet: “Heavy rain has flooded the railway between Taunton and Exeter St Davids therefore all lines are closed until further notice. Replacement road transport is being sourced. Mutual ticket acceptance is in place with Crosscountry trains.”

People living near the River Tone Catchment were told to ‘be prepared’ as water levels swelled.
While much of the rain has passed, water levels remain high but standing water is still causing problems.
- All lines are now open between Taunton and Exeter.
