MORE THAN 150 job seekers attended a recruitment fair at Burnham's Princess Theatre.
The fair, which was organised by Under Construction and Sedgemoor District Council, saw 24 employers set up stalls and advertise hundreds of opportunities to a room of eager job seekers.
Employers included: Neighbourhood Care, Avon and Somerset Police, Somerset Skills and Learning, Brunel Care ,EDF Energy and many more.
A spokesman for Sedgemoor District Council said the event was a huge success.
"A range of local employers and organisations showcased jobs on offer for local people, as well as apprenticeships, self-employment advice, training and volunteering opportunities," the spokesman said.
"Sedgemoor District Council would like to thank all of the organisations, training providers, jobseekers and employers who attended and helped to make the event such a huge success along with the staff and volunteers at The Princess Theatre."
The council spokesman said planning for next year's event is already underway and said the recruitment fair will have a fresh new look.
