THE winners of Burnham-on-Sea’s Christmas light competition have been announced.
Burnham and Highbridge town councillors, Peter Clayton and Victoria Weavell judged the competition.
In Burnham, Ron Brown, of 42 and 44 Broadhurst Gardens, won the contest and Matthew Ellis, of Brent Road, came in second.
In Highbridge, Tina Bale, of Poplar Estate, came in first and Darren Bird, of South Avenue, came second.
The best shared entry was Mountbatton Close and a house on the street was also highly commended by the judges.
Mark Newman and Keith Elliot, from Burnham-on-Sea Chamber of Trade, judged the best business in Burnham.
Flowers and Things scooped the award for best business and Central Hair Studio on Abingdon Street and the Royal British Legion on Victoria Street were highly commended.
Prizes will be presented at the town council’s town projects committee meeting on January 17.
