CREW from Watchet Coastguard helped a motorist over the weekend after a crash on the A39.
Members of Watchet Coastguard went on a 'knowledge patrol' yesterday afternoon (September 3) to Minehead, Blue Anchor, Watchet and then went to head out towards West Quantock head area along the A39 but were flagged down by a resident to give aid to a person trapped in their car.
The Coastguard were quick to react and requested for police, fire and ambulance services to attend using their radio via the Coastguard Operations Centre (CGOC).
While waiting for the emergency services to arrive the team gave first aid to a person trapped in their vehicle after the crash.
Once all other agencies arrived they removed the casualty from the car safely and transported them by land ambulance to hospital.
