BRIDGWATER'S Domino's Pizza branch is closed for two weeks for a refurbishment.

The town's fast-food lovers have been hit by a double-whammy as McDonald's in Bridgwater is also closed for a revamp, re-opening on Tuesday, September 12.

Commenting on the temporary closure of the Domino’s Pizza store in Eastover, communications assistant Heidi Bartholomew said: “Due to the need for major refurbishment, we have temporarily closed the Domino’s Pizza store in Bridgwater. We anticipate that the store will reopen with a fresh new look on Monday, August 28.

“During this time, customers of the store will be able to order quality, freshly handmade to order pizzas from our store in Taunton.”

Meanwhile the McDonald’s restaurant in Gallagher Retail Park is undergoing a major digital makeover, following significant investment from franchisee Tim Lamb, creating 20 jobs for the area.

The new additions at McDonald's will see an extra 35 seats added to the dining area, two self-order kiosks, free to use tablets and an interactive gaming table to help keep younger customers entertained.

Mr Lamb said: "I am confident that this new look restaurant will be a welcome addition to the area and I look forward to welcoming all of my customers to the updated restaurant.”
