A warm welcome awaits you at the Quantock Tea Room

Somerset County Gazette:

We are at the heart of the friendly village of Nether Stowey, gateway to the glorious Quantock Hills.

We pride ourselves on the high quality of our food. Set yourself up for the day with a mouth-watering breakfast. Drop in for morning coffee and a snack. Enjoy a light lunch washed down with a choice of soft drinks or local beers and ciders. And if you are passing through in the afternoon, you'll love our delicious cream teas and home-made cakes and pastries!

Whether you are touring by car, walking, cycling, or visiting the National Trust Coleridge Cottage, our tearoom is a must-visit. Part of Stowey’s busy post office and stores, it’s the hub of the village. Buy your maps and local books and guides from us. Choose postcards and greetings cards. Stock up on home-baked breads and chilled and frozen foods.

Planning a ramble on the Quantock Hills? Ask us to put together a picnic lunch for you.

Nether Stowey was once home to the poet Samuel Taylor Coleridge. With its ancient castle mound, historic houses, clock tower, and the stream flowing gently down the street, the village is deservedly popular with visitors to this beautiful part of Somerset.

We look forward to meeting you!

Enjoy a Cream Tea in style at the brand new Sheppy’s House of Cider

Somerset County Gazette:

What could be better than a fresh homemade scone, Somerset clotted cream and Sheppy’s strawberry jam? All finished off with a tasting of lightly sparkled cider.

Sheppy’s have been at Three Bridges for 100 years this year and to celebrate they have recently opened Sheppy’s House of Cider, which is a magnificent transformation of their old brick buildings that bring the perfect balance of modernism and character. Having spent 100 years at Three Bridges Farm, the Sheppy family wanted it to become a destination that people really want to visit within Somerset, attracting tourists, locals and cider fans to see the heritage of their brand in modern times.

Sheppy’s House of Cider offers a unique and memorable experience for all visitors with a heritage museum, deli, bakery, butchery and, of course, their cider shop. If that doesn’t sound like enough, you can indulge in their recently renovated Apple Bay Restaurant and Bar using ingredients from their farm and local producers.
