A WOMAN has appeared in court charged with attempted murder and malicious wounding after two people were stabbed at Taunton Railway Station.
Ingrid MacKay, 59, of no fixed address, appeared before Taunton Magistrates' Court today (July 24).
The victims were a teenage girl and a British Transport Police officer.
She is accused of attempting to murder the girl, 17, from Devon, who cannot be named for legal reasons.
The court heard she was also charged with the malicious wounding of PC Ian Taylor following an incident on platform two of the station at around 4.45pm on Saturday (July 22).
MacKay was remanded in custody after no bail application was made and no plea was entered.
She will next appear before Exeter Crown Court on August 10.
