THE WorleWind Band rocked the Town Hall for the Bridgwater Carnival President's Gala.

The concert, which took place on Saturday night, aims to raise money for the security of concert carts as they travel around Somerset during carnival season.

Musical director Julia Ractcliffe said: "The audience clapped, sang, danced and cheered their way through the whole evening and we were rewarded with two standing ovations.

"We were delighted to receive such a warm welcome from the people of Bridgwater and were pleased with how the audience interacted with us and our music all evening.”

The evening also featured performances from local singers Ben Filler and Harriet Brixey, as well as Sally Williams' dancers.
