NORTH Petherton councillors have been looking to seek a way to alleviate traffic issues associated with a farm in the parish.
Last week councillors met with Simon and Karen Walker, who run their agricultural business from Haddon Farm in North Petherton, to try and find a solution to the problems being caused by delivery vehicles running to and from the farm.
The business, which employs more than 10 local people, is dependent upon large vehicles regularly travelling along narrow lanes, which has been causing problems to people who live or use the route.
A spokesman for North Petherton Town Council said: "Mr and Mrs Walker made it clear that were very keen to find a solution that would address the local issues and enable them to keep the farm on as a going concern."
The Town Mayor, Cllr Alan Bradford, said that he felt the meeting had been very useful in helping councillors understand all the issues involved and that he would arrange a meeting involving the Town Council, the District Council and the County Highway’s Department to find where the best solution lay.
